The much revered Carnival
Festival celebrates freedom through dancing, singing,
parades, pageantry, music, drinks, food, friends and
fun. You'll see and experience the music of talented
bands and individual musicians, pageants for Carnival

drinks. From steel drum bands to local cuisine, it is

There are contests for
Carnival Queen and the Prince and Princess for children
between 5 and 17 in the Virgin Islands. The Junior
Calypso competition encourages original song composition
from local youngsters along with the creation of
colorful costumes and dramatizations in a music act.

sports event is held at Charlotte Amalie Harbor and
steel bands play at Lionel Roberts Stadium where many
other events are held. Calypso Spectakula is held at
Carnival Village and it showcases some of the best
Calypso singers in the
Virgin Islands.
